My name is Ron Singerman and I’m the Agency’s owner.

Oct., 2006: Amerikansky billiards in Odessa; "bank shot 8-ball in the near corner!"
Background: I was born in the City of Los Angeles in 1955, where I’ve lived ever since. In 1981, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration. In July, 1983, I received my California license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA); and I’ve been self-employed as a CPA since November, 1983. Between 1988 and 1995, I had an unsuccessful marriage and no children. At the beginning of 1998, I began using Internet dating services. Not long thereafter, I began to receive letters from ladies in the FSU (Former Soviet Union). At first, I didn’t take them very seriously as I wasn’t interested in dating ladies from outside the L.A. area, much less trying to develop a relationship with someone multiple time zones away, across an ocean! Still, out of curiosity, some inner hope, interesting profiles and attractive photos, I began to correspond with a few of them.
But, my inexperience and naivety inevitably led me into being scammed for a few hundred dollars—something about having an “aunt who works for Aeroflot at Moscow’s airport who could get an airline ticket to visit [me].” But, I wasn’t satisfied with the types of ladies that I was meeting in L.A., until by luck, I met a “girl” from Crimea, Ukraine, who had already been living in USA for about 18 months. She was 22 years old, gorgeous, dressed very feminine, didn’t care about our age difference, didn’t ask me for money or gifts (either directly or indirectly), but just genuinely enjoyed my company! What a difference from the typical American women that I’d been meeting! For various complex reasons, it didn’t work out for us (though we’ve remained platonic friends), but I knew there was something very different in her attitude and approach to male/female relationships. It was then, about June, 2001, that I knew that my future wife would be from Ukraine; and I set about the process of educating myself on the subject, e.g. learning about Ukrainian culture and embarking on the long path of learning to speak and read Russian, at least to a workable level of competency. More importantly, I did a “personal inventory” on what kind of commitment that I’d need to be able to give to my future Ukrainian wife because I would be asking her to come to USA, to an unfamiliar culture, a new language, leaving behind her family, friends and all things familiar to her! On top of that stress, were all the legal challenges from USA’s Department of Homeland Security’s Bureau of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Exacerbating this search would be the negative media, all the naysayers, family and “friends” and “well-meaning” associates who would either overtly invalidate my search or cast varying degrees of disagreeable expressions.
But, I knew in my heart that my search for my future wife in far-away Ukraine was the right thing for me, further validated by my observations of the unhappy relationships of some of those same naysayers! Along the way, I heard a statistic that only 5% of the men who correspond with women of the FSU actually go there! Of course, I had to be among those 5%, otherwise I’d just be wasting my time and the time of any ladies that I was corresponding with! So, after much thought and research, in August, 2001, I paid to take my first trip to Ukraine, scheduled for just after the end of “tax season,” the 17th of October, 2001. Of course, the terrible events of “9/11” occurred one month later, but, I was determined to live my life and carried through with my plans to visit Ukraine. On my 3rd trip to Ukraine, in October, 2002, I met my future wife, Iryna; and 8 days later we were engaged to be married! In 2003, I took four more trips to Ukraine to spend more time with her, meet her family and friends and help her with USCIS requirements for her K-1 fiancee visa—I did all the legal work myself because I figured that no one would care more than me about making sure that everything was correct! In December, 2003, Iryna’s K-1 fiancee visa was approved. In February, 2004, she arrived in L.A. and we were married 10 days later. But, a year and 5 months later, in a terrible tragedy, I lost her, so I’m a widower. I know that she’d want me to marry a nice, Ukrainian lady, so my search continues. On my 8th trip to Ukraine, I had the good fortune of spending some time in Odessa and becoming familiar with Ol’via Agency. On my 9th trip, I spent about 5 weeks in Odessa, again using the services of Ol’via Agency. In June, 2006, shortly after I returned to L.A., the opportunity presented itself for me to buy Ol’via Agency (known as "Odessa2" in the Kherson Girls network)—the owners knew me and trusted me; that I was always respectful to the young ladies that I met through Ol’via Agency—they needed to move on, but wanted their agency to be in good hands, to continue its solid reputation as an honest agency. So, in July, 2006, I concluded my 10th trip to Ukraine and completed the transition of ownership to myself. On my 11th trip to Ukraine in October and November, 2006, I spent almost 5 weeks in Odessa. My 12th trip went from 14th of December, 2006, through late January, 2007, and I spent New Year's in Ukraine (in Odessa) for the first time, which was a wonderful experience. My 13trip was in May and half of June, 2007. The 14th trip went from November through 21st of January, 2008. Trip #15, was May, 2008 through 15th of June, 2008. During this trip, I took a taxi to Kherson to participate in the boat party organized by the large Kherson Girls agency http://www.khersongirls.com/index.htm --the party was a wonderful experience, which I'd recommend to any single man visiting southern Ukraine. The 16th trip went from the 23rd of October, 2008, through the 20th of January, 2009. During this trip, I saw some of the effects of the global economic recession; for example, the Ukrainian currency declined significantly in value versus the U.S. Dollar, going from about 4.5 Grivna per $ in the Spring of 2008, to about 8 Grivna per $. On my trip #17, between the 4th of May and 16th of June, 2009, I continued to work on my own relationship. On my trip #18, I arrived in Odessa, on the 12th of November and returned to USA on the 17th of January 2010. During this trip I ended the relationship with the lady I had been seeing since December, 2008, as I discovered that she had been being unfaithful with me. But, I started a new relationship with a girl from Kherson!
Trip #19: I arrived in Odessa, Ukraine on the 27th of April, 2010, and not scheduled to return to USA until the 19th of June, 2010. I'm continuing to build the relationship I started in December, 2009.
Of course, no one can guarantee your success in finding that special someone. In general, your chances of success improve in relation to the honest, ethical efforts you put forth. We, at Odessa2 (Ol’via) Agency, are here to assist you in your search and to help you have a pleasant stay in beautiful and historic Odessa.
Respectfully, Ron Singerman
